also things you did not know about Microsoft and Your Computer
Players\Reports
Three reports are available from this screen, ‘Player Master
Listing’, ‘Top 3 Tournaments’, and ‘All Tournaments’.
Player Master Listing
The ‘Player Master Listing’ is a list of player information from the
‘Player Profile’ table. You can use the ‘Sort’ combo to sort the
listing by ‘LastName’, ‘Category’, ‘State/City’, or ‘CardYear’.
‘LastName’ is the default, as that is normally most useful.
Also, there are filters available for ‘State’ and ‘CardYear’. Both
fields have combo boxes to help with filter selection.
Top 3 Tournaments
The ‘Top 3’ report uses the standard NHPA algorithm to detect the
top 3 tournaments on file for the player. It uses the top 3 within
the year provided, unless there are more than ten tournaments, then
it uses the top 3 of the last ten. Only one line is required per
player, with columns for the three tournaments, and the average of
those three tournaments.
You can use the ‘Sort’ combo to sort the listing by ‘LastName’, ‘RingerPercent’,
or ‘State’. ‘LastName’ is the default, as that is normally most
useful.
There is a textbox available to filter on ‘State’. A combo box is
available,
You can also select the date range to derive your Top 3 tournaments
from. The default is one year ago today, thru today. A dropdown
calendar is available for aid in date selection.
All Tournaments
This report lists all tournaments on file. It can be run for one
player or for all players. I do not recommend that you run it for
all players, unless you have lots of paper. It will print one line
for each tournament, for each player. Tournament name, date,
location, number of ringers, and number of shoes are printed.
This report should be enhanced to show how the player’s average is
being computed. It could show which three tournaments are being used
to compute the average,
